Spiritual Boot Camp

Read this article in the light of my last post. What do you think?? Spiritual Boot Camp

Brother Andre and Sister Gladys

This is insightful article, originally published in Canada, which brilliantly expresses my heart. We need more Elijah Cadmans and Billy Brays, but we also need more N T Wrights too! But these words are a challenge - and not a comfortable one either....... Brother Andre and Sister Gladys

Lenten Reading - God's Murmur in our Hearts

"I love you just as you are. I so love you that I come to heal you and to give you life.  Do not be afraid. Open your hearts. It is all right to be yourself. You do not have to be perfect or clever. You are loved just as you are. As you become more conscious that you are loved, you will want to respond to that love with love, and grow in love." (Jean Vanier - pg 87)

Lenten Reading - It's all about Jesus

"The gospel is about growing in trust, growing in a relationship of love with Jesus. Belief is not trusting and adhering to an abstract doctrine, it is believing and trusting in the person of Jesus and in his words." (Jean Vanier, pg 84)

My Lenten Reading 2011

From the foreward by the writer: "What I share in these pages is the music I have heard behind the words and the flow of the Gospel of John. I have listened to the song, which warmed and stirred my heart......I want to sing this song, too, even if my voice is weak and sometimes wavers, so that others may sing it..." My heart too is being stirred as the song is sung. Jesus stands out, blazing forth on glory and grace. Beautiful. And a good companion for Lent.
